Have you been accused of not using your time productive and instead wasting time blogging? Why do you blog? And how important is it to you?

I would love to hear your thoughts on a recent blog post http://danaelaineellis.blogspot.com/2009/10/hello-my-name-is-dana-e...

Excellent question because this is something I have considered. I blog because it is part of what I feel God has called me to do...encourage people in their faith, bring up relevant topics of Christian life, and educate about the occult. I'm in the process of writing a book, which I hope to have published in February, and so the blog is also a means of generating interest in my writing. I'm also pursuing opportunities as an inspirational speaker so the blog helps in this also.

I have blogged for many years and truly enjoy it. Some times I spend hours on a post. Some times I spend only a few minutes. I hope people who read my blog get something out of it, even if only a smile at some silly story I've shared.

In the past I would worry if people thought I was wasting my time, but honestly I do it because I love it. Who cares if anyone disapprove? I'm doing what I love and what I feel called to do by God, and there is nothing better than that.
