Trying to get a Bible Study Started

Hi all! I am part of the group Ladies Bible Study. The reason I am here is to try to get the group active again. I don't know about some of you but I am a busy mom who wants to study the Bible, but I don't want to do it on my own. The reason I say that is because it is so interesting to get others opionions (I love a good debate!) about things within the Bible. It usually opens yours eyes to the scriptures and lets you see things in a way you didn't think to look at them before. Anyway so please join me in the Ladies Bible Study group and help me to get a good study going that we all will not only make time for but enjoy making the time for.

Sounds like a great idea! I'm like you, a very busy mom, and for me, I get better understanding when discussed in a group setting and various perspectives are shared. And there's the added benefit of developing friendships in the process. I'd love to participate.

Thank Antoinette! I am so happy that someone else wants to do this with me! If you have any suggestions, please give me any feedback you have. I am still trying to figure out how to do this so that it stays short and sweet and inspirational to everyone. My thought was to post a devotion either daily or weekly then just discuss what it means to each of us. I can say that right now it is only us so if that is not a problem with you, then you and I can start and hopefully by word of mouth, we can make this thing grow!

Sounds great! I like the idea of a daily or weekly devotional, that would be a good starting point for discussions. We could go ahead and start, and hopefully others will join us as we spread the word. I look forward to getting started.

Ok so here is my idea and please let me know what you think on this. There is a website out there that I use every morning for my devotion, it Girlfriends in God. And they have great devotions and they are quick ones. But we could commit to reading those and then post our discussions everyday on what it meant or maybe even didn't mean to each of us.

Ok we will start on Monday. Girlfriends in God only goes Monday thru Friday. What we will do is read the devotion everyday and I am going to post a discussion daily (hopefully every morning but my kids with determine that one!) and we can post our thoughts on each devotion when we have time throughout the day. I am going to post the discussions in the Ladies Bible Study group if that is okay with you. Hopefully others will see us and join us!! Thanks so much for joining us and I can't wait to start. Actually I might start this morning!!!
