♥Cooking with the Kiddies!♥

I believe that by teaching our kids to cook & bake early it will cut back on them relying on fast food later on. They can learn healthy choices & also have a say in what they eat. We will share recipes made by our kids & family cooking traditions!

Lori I think thats what gets kids involved, plus they can eat it which is the best part lol the mess stinks for me too but I have taught my kids and now my son always says "A good chef stays in the kitchen until the final dish is put away"

I love cooking with kids - I got my two children in the kitchen helping at an early age. I 100% agree with Allison. I had so many people asking me how to do it that I started Chef-K, culinary health education for kids. We're coming up with new ideas and products geared to families that want to teach their kids to cook. Find tips, hints and recipes at www.chef-k.com!

Made waffles with the kids this morning. Ended up with a messy kitchen, but the kids really enjoyed doing the measuring and breaking of the eggs. It made them feel so happy to know that they made their own waffle.

great ideas - well there must be a chef-in-waiting somewhere inside because I've been obssessed w/Food Network for years. I could sit & watch people chop & stir & create all day! Now if I can just transition that obsession towards myself. :)

A neat thing we do now it when i was pregnant, I had a craving for Cilantro, I make tacos, chop cilantro, and dice fresh peaches (or canned) the kids LOVE this, they get their veggies and fruit all in one:}
