My husband and I are considering taking our two kids, ages 6 and 4, on this. Anyone been? Any feedback? We visited Disney last year, and they loved it!
My husband and I went on the Disney cruise for my 30th birthday in November of 2007. It was AWESOME!!! It was all decorated for the holidays and they had special holiday events such as a (HUGE) tree lighting ceremony and characters dressed in holiday attire. We didn't even have kids then and we still had a great time. Now that we have a little one we cannot wait to take her!!
Oh, and for the germaphobes out there... they are super sanitary! There are crew members always wiping down railings and other high traffic areas, and there are hand washing stations at every restaurant entrance as well as other areas on the ship. With all the negative publicity about cruise ships and illness outbreaks, Disney really goes above and beyond to keep your family safe.
I could go on and on because it was BY FAR the best vacation I have ever been on... and I have been on other cruise lines and there is NO comparison!!
I have a question for all you Disney cruisers! My family and I are taking a cruise October 2009. My youngest will be 3 on Jan. 1st, 2010. I am wondering if I would be able to squeak her into the oceaneers club for ages 3-5. I have been reading blogs and I have seen a couple of instances where this has happened, but mainly with older kids (a 5 year old going into the 6-8 group for example). I REALLY would love to put her in the oceaneers club instead of the babysitting area (since you are only allowed 10 hours of babysitting total for the entire trip). I would love to hear your input!!
I had a friend that took her son on a disney land/cruise package & they loved every minute! I am a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and have my Mickey Graduation hat & pin to prove it! I would love to connect with you to see what I can do to help you plan the vacation of your dreams & show you some insider tricks & tips!
