I started this group because sometimes being a MOM is SO HARD!

When I was in high school, my guidance counselor would not let me take home ec. He said "College bound girls don't need that class." Life bound girls do, though! If only he could see me now--my 'professional' and day job is being a MOM.

If you get stressed with laundry, cleaning, kids, time for you...JUST BALANCING IT ALL. This is the group for you. If you love more than anything being a MOM but there are days when you think you will tear your hair out if you hear that word one more time. This is the group for you.

Let's change advice, pointers, shoulders to cry on...As we get to know each other and tackle this incredible blessing called being a MOM!

Hi everyone, I'm Cheryl from Oak Park, IL and I'm.....ahem....(don't throw tomatoes at me) a professional organizer. But wait, wait...the reason I'm here is to learn from you what your 'at-home' challenges are. So please take advantage of my curiousity and feel free to ask me questions about household organizing. And if you don't mind my being here too much, I'm really looking forward to participating in discussions.

Cheers

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a mother of a 2 year old girl, and a 14 month old son. I'm also the wife of an overgrown 13-year-old, lol. I work full-time outside of the house, temporarily living with my in-laws in a state that I just moved to, so I know absolutely no one, and there are days when I feel like I'm going to rip every last hair out of my head!! I'm so glad to have found this group, though...looking forward to chatting with you all. Oh, and did I mention that NONE of my friends (even the ones back home) dont have kids?? I'm the first of my "group" to have kids, so that's fun, too...sorry, didnt mean to rant already, lol.

I Had To Join This Group To Feel Not So Isolated Because - My Hubby Is The One That Cooks In Our Home & Cleans. But I Have A NEWBORN Only 2 Months Old!!! So I Guess I'm Okay In This Group...What A Breath Of Fresh Air!

Well, I've really taken issue with the whole shame spiral. So naturally, the only way I could sort it all out in my overly-buzz-filled head was to write about it. This is going to be a shame... http://flavoredmom.blogspot.com

Independantly functioning tornadoes has to the the funniest thing I've heard all day!!! It describes my daughter to a T!

I'm so glad I've found this group. I'm a married mom of a three year old daughter. Work a full time job. Hate to work when I get home. My house is never ready for company. I'm NEVER caught up with laundry. I'm constantly unorganized. I'm becoming more and more OK with it everyday...which frightens me.

If anyone gets the organization fairy will you please send her my way :)

Hi, I'm Tracy, and I am so domestically challenged! I am the mom of a 15 year old son, an 11 year old son, a 3 year old son, and a 2 year old daughter, and 2 cats, 3 hermit crabs, and 1 husband. I just can't keep the house clean at all. I home/cyber school my oldest 2, so everyone, minus dh, are always home. My toddlers are independantly functioning tornadoes :) I love being home and being a mom, but what happened to my clean house? I can't EVER get all my laundry done....I get tired just looking at it, lol!

It is great to understand where everyone is coming from. I have a 14, 12 and 9 year old. I thought it was suppose to get easier as they got older. Was I misinformed. As much as I try to get a schedule, it never works out. Plus the extra-curricular activities it is a mad house all the time. I get peace and quiet either at work because I work in the legal department or when the children are sleeping. You would think I would try to tidy up a little each night but I never do. Any other suggestions?
