twitter moms: the influential moms network

I just started an Artfire account last week, and I'm thinking I'm going to move all my products from my Etsy store over there. Has anyone else checked them out, and what do you think of it?

I've read a lot about it in the etsy forums, not sure yet. Etsy is so overcrowded in so many categories (including mine, jewelry) that I'm tempted to try elsewhere...

I've started an account there, but haven't sold anything yet (http://sunrisecrafts.artfire.com), but then, I've only sold one item on Etsy. I follow the founder of artfire on Twitter as well (@artfire).

It seems to be a good site to go to as far as I can tell.

i just joined for 7 bucks for life :) but i am doing ok on etsy for just starting out (http://shopmarigold.etsy.com) and all my business cards/promo materials have etsy as my website etc. so, as of yet, i have yet to list anything with artfire, i am going to wait to to see how it all pans for others first. I have a family of 6 and time is just so limited to create, photograph, edit, upload, list, etc...so it's just a time crunch thing for me. i figured getting in on the 7 dollar deal was worth it, who knows what will happen down the road with AF? they seem to be really promoting themselve well, so I am sure once they catch on, they will have some great success!

I've started to check out Artfire but don't know anyone who sells there. Ebay fees are really getting to me and I'm looking for other avenues.

I just joined Artfire. I sell greeting cards and eventually other paper crafts. So far I have had people looking but no sales yet. My shop is Linda's Paperie if you would like to take a peek.

I joined artfire a few months ago and made my first sale just this morning. I am sticking with it though, because I do believe artfire is going to be BIG. For now I'm just keeping in mind that it's still a relatively new site, not a ton of traffic yet, and actually still in beta. But I have high hopes! My shop is Tootsie'sTidbits.

I'm interested to hear about etsy and artfire. I've been a powerseller on eBay for a couple of years now selling quilting fabrics but I'm quite exasperated by their poor service and also the high fees. They are not delivering the traffic to my site that they were a year ago but they sure haven't dropped their fees!
Another site I've been looking at is auctivacommerce.com. They are affiliated with eBay.

I moved all my items from Etsy to Artfire in January and I'm SO happy I did. My fees are so much better and my views on my Artfire Studio are alot higher than they were on Etsy. My sales, well...that's hard to say as I'm not sure what my sales would have been on Etsy.
I LOVE that Artfire listens to their sellers and buyers. They made it so buyers do not have to create an account to purchase an item. They just released a really nice Kiosk that goes on your Facebook profile page plus they released their Coupon Codes. Right now you can create up to 30 coupon codes to give to potential buyers or repeat buyers. It can be a code for $ off (with a set amount of purchase if you'd like), % off or free shipping - plus gift certificate amounts with a code.
I love Artfire and highly encourage everyone to check it out. You can create a free account and list 10 items - FREE. Or join for only $12 a month and list an unlimited amount of items. Their search function is random and DOES NOT go by the date a seller listed an item. So even if you listed something 3 months ago, it could show up on page 1 of the search results.

I've been on Artfire for a few months now and although they have attracted a wide range of sellers I don't think they are getting the buyers some of the other sites are drawing. I'm in several sites and Artfire is the lowest producing site so far. I think as it grows it may have some potential but the traffic has to increase to make it a truly effective site.

I use artfire. I only have 10 items right now because 10 items are free. You can upgrade to add more but then have fees I don't know what they are. I have been on for at least 6 months. My stats are great but I have not sold 1 thing and I have sold on Etsy. The thing I love is that your things will come up a lot in google searches more then the other sites I am on, but like I said I have not sold a single item. Good Luck I hope it works for you.
