I'm Christina, and I'm an obsessive fantasy reader. My son TJ is going to be a knight for Halloween, so that I could buy myself a "Lady Juliet" dress that looks pretty on me and plays into my desire to be living in a fantasy world.

I'm Serena. I've been married for 13 years and have a 6 year old son and an almost 3 year old daughter. I'm into scifi/fantasy, but hubby only likes the scifi. I'm into everything from Star Wars to ElfQuest with vampires and whatever else in between. My favorite authors are Mecedes Lackey and Anne McCaffrey. I'm also a big Doctor Who (old and new)/Torchwood fan. In the vampire realm I'm more into Anne Rice and Foerver Knight than Twilight and Buffy. I haven't gamed in years, but I enjoyed reading through my husbands Vampire The Masquerade and other gaming books.

I went to DragonCon here in Atlanta for the first time last summer. I was only able to go for one day, but I really enjoyed it. I hope to spend the whole weekend this year. I just need Grandma and Grandpa to take the kids.

Welcome, Serena!

I'm so jealous you got to go to DragonCon! I hope to make it there at some point in time, but who knows when?

Hi my name is Adiaha (pronounced Ah-day-ah-ha) and I LOVE sci-fi and fantasy. I live mostly in the closet about this fact. Most of my friends (African-American) really don't get it and just don't understand. I blog (http://adiaha.com) and am in the process of deciding on a focus of my blog...but the more I think about who I am the more I realize that I do not fit into any one box so trying to produce just one focus is ridiculous!

I am so happy to see this group and look forward to communicating with you all!

Blissfully yours,
adiaha

Welcome! My blog doesn't fit any one particular niche, either. So many pros AND cons to that, but I can't imagine doing things any other way.

Where do you live? I live just outside of Atlanta. I've lived in the Atlanta area for almost 15 years, and last year was the first I managed to go. I wish I had done it sooner, but family stuff tends to crop up on Labor day weekend. Plus it means finding someone to watch the kids. Anyone who plans to go this summer should let me know. MAybe we can meet up.

I'm Rea (pronounced ray). I'm married to a HUGE geek (gamer, comic, action figures...that's what I live with!) and also have a 2 month old son.
I'm hugely addicted to Laurell K Hamilton, Keri Authur, Kelly Armstrong and even Twilight. I have a cat, Arwen (yes named for the LOTR character) and when she finally passes on I'm planning a wicked tattoo memorial for her!
Right now we live outside of DC but in April we're relocating to Japan and are very excited about that.

I live in Upstate NY, so I'm nowhere new you, but my brother and sister-in-law live in Sugar Hill. One of these years we'll make it down there for DragonCon!

My in-laws lived in Sugar Hill before they retired. It's further out than I am, but in the same county. I'm formerly from NYC, by the way.
