How have we not come across more Fire wives on this group? I know there have to be many more on twittermoms than just the few of us posting :)

Amazing I come back to this group and check in and yet again, he's on OT. It hasn't been the norm. But maybe it will be from now on.

I have to say I can't complain about the income from it.

I think it is because we don't have a lot of other activities with the kids planned on Sundays, just church and then the 'get ready for the school week' kinda things. Our schedule is 24 on, 24 off (but on call), 24 on, 5 days off. But he's on call a half shift before and after his rotation. So if anyone bags out sick he might have to cover it if no one else takes the OT. This week he's on Fri/Sun. Last weekend before summer vacation! =)

Hi Nicole,

My hubby took an OT shift today and yes, it's been a SUPER long day. It is weird how Sundays just seem longer than others.

*Sigh* Another uneventful Sunday. I duuno why but I hate when my husband has to work Sundays! Sundays are rather drab for me in general, but I just can't seem to find enough for everyone to do and still get homework done. I live in Arizona and my husband is a firefighter for Mesa. His schedule is 24 on 24 off, 24 on 24 off, 24on 4 days off. What are some of the other schedules out there?

Hi! My name is Nicole. I am almost (8 days) 26 years old. I have 3 little girls: Kiley 6, Kamryn almost 4, and Kenday 1. I am currently going to school to get dual degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. I work providing respite and habiltation services to twins with Autism, and Im a firefighter's wife. Just wanted to check it out and see if this is a place where people might understand my life, just a tad.
