I do frequently. I hate what they eat if I don't cook food. I have the codes to get into most of the stations because of this and none of them care. lol A couple of weeks ago it actually came to me that maybe I should think of a little catering biz since I'm already doing it for the most part and hubby is just recouping a few bucks from everyone.
Do you do the station cooking or am I so out of the norm I've scared everyone?
I have made dishes for him to take in sometimes, but most shifts he cooks himself or they get take out. The take out drives me nuts, but so does when he shops for work. I'm at home clipping coupons and for 1 shift he'll spend almost 60-75% of what I'd spend for a week.
His Lt. doesn't cook, but brings in dishes his MOM makes (he is not married and does not live at home). That usually gets a lot of ribbing from the guys so maybe that's why I don't cook for them that often. Mostly I'll swing by with a dessert or something.

Yes the take out annoys me. It's too much food and not the healthiest options usually when it's so last minute.
I brought them over lunch and dinner a week ago. There had been a school meeting and two huge platters of sandwiches were leftover. Everyone knows I have some guys that will put that much extra food to good use. lol But I also made up lasagna.
I'm so glad I did or they may not have eaten. Hubby didn't get to eat lunch for another 2 hours after i dropped it off and they are lucky they left him some. Then he didn't get dinner until almost 10, powered it down and they went on another call. It was just one of those shifts which is why I don't mind dropping food off. I need to remember to ask him if everyone is giving him money for it or if they are pulling their weight. They are usually pretty good about remembering who they owe meals to ;)
No, I have never even been asked to cook. Some of those guys are great chefs though. My husband comes home with lots of great new recipes. I have however been asked to do other things like pick up a tire in a neighboring city for one guy who needed it the next morning so he could go camping. Its like family!
