Melanie,
The thing that helped me the most was joining classes, not just a gym but actual classes that you commit to. If I didn't have this it would be very hard to stay motivated. Also, look for a friend to work out with, this keeps you accountable. Good Luck to you!

Welcome Noire! As a trainer and fitness coach finding time to exercise is the biggest challenge I hear from many people. Joanna is 100% right in her response about finding the time though. I would also add that its been very helpful to me (and my clients) if workouts are actually scheduled on a calendar like an other appointment. If it's in writing it is much more likely to get down :) Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Noire - as far as finding time to exercise - you really just need to find the time. That might mean getting up an hour earlier or varying what you do to exercise so it fits in with your schedule. If you can find a gym that has child care, that would be a good place to start. You just have to squeeze it in as best as you can. Home workout videos might work for you, too. You can also buy some free weights to have at home. I know a lot of women use an exercise ball at home. Experiment a little bit and figure out what will work best for you.
