It is really required to promote our blog to get more response and more money. How do you do that? Any simple way could be very helpful so please share your methods with us.
As far as I am concerned, I use social n/w like twitter/Digg etc to promote and also regularly comment on other blog so that we get back few traffic from us. I am trying hard to place my blog in top10 in searches but yet to find a good way to do that. Other than that through word of mouth.
You might want to have a look at some of the back posts on Food Blog S'cool, an open group blog of all food bloggers. They've got lots of relevant promotion ideas and feedback from the community on what works and what doesn't. (I'm not affiliated with the site, BTW.)
I've learned to network with others, twitter, comment on other blogs, posting resourceful information people can use regarding food, recipes, etc. When you blog more often, it increases your value to the networking community. Also try, E-Zine. Blog about what you know, your passion and they will come.

As someone who READS food blogs, Tastespotting is a site that I love!
Also, these days I think that to really make your food blog successful you have to have gorgeous pictures! That way when people do find your site, they want to stay.
Also, I love to feature food blogs on my blog, so let me know if any of you have something you would like me to feature!!
I listened to a brilliant free podcast called Blog Profits Blueprint about building a successful blog which includes promotion techniques at this link http://blogmastermind.com/
You just have to sign up to the newsletter (which you can obviously unsubscribe form if you wish) to get the download, but I found it very useful. Haven't had chance to do all of it yet but the stuff I have had chance to do is really useful and you can see exactly what he is saying when you go to successful blogs - they have done all the steps he is recommending. I am not in any way linked to this organisation and have no vested interest in it, I just thought it was good. Worth an hour if you have it.
