I might be opening a can of worms here, but I am thinking of selling my biscotti online on Artfire. I was wondering, will I need to get a license to do so.. to bake from my home? What do you guys do?
Thanks
Susie

In my county they will not license kitchens that are in your home, so you will need to check your state and see if that is even an option for you.

I have a sneaking feeling that nobody responds to this question because there are a lot of unlicensed bakers? I just cant get an answer from anyone on this..but thanks for your response Lorie!

Sue, I think there are a ton too. I can imagine that there could be some scary repercussions of trying to sell unlicensed though.

Do you know what the requirements are in your county/state. I know mine are stricter than most.

I would check it out and get licensed if you can.

Laurie.. my friend told me that you can get your kitchen certified.."its not that big a deal" but I suspect it ought to be!
Don't you find it interesting there are no responses?
I will find out what my states requirements are. I don't have anywhere to go bake.. esp biscotti that take a lot of waiting time for them to cool then cut then bake again.
