Hi. I used to be a regional mag editor...am hoping to make my way back into freelancing from home when my child starts school. My blog is my big project right now--gives me creative freedom but keeps me connected with the world. See it at http://www.redwhiteandgrewblog.com.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start freelance writing. I've done some research and looked at Elance and a few other sites, but I am not sure exactly how to go about it.
Any help will be much appreciated!

I am currently procrastinating my freelance project. I need to get my booty in gear or I'll miss my deadline. HATE DEADLINES.
In the meantime, I am blogging about being a writer. Today's post--I Am the Next Stephenie Meyer--makes me feel better as I discover that I don't really need to be a terrific writer to be HER ;) LOL.

I've had the desire to write for many years... but never felt I had anything to offer. After reading much about writing, it feels like the right time to "put the pencil to the paper" ;-)
Looking forward to learning more about the biz. Eventually I'd like to earn income from writing to help fund my new project, making adaptive clothing for injured soldiers. I'd appreciate any and all input. Thanks

hiya all! I am also joining because I need some guidance and encouragement in the writing department! I enjoy writing, but need a lot of 'tweaking'! I'm looking forward to the group.

Hey freelance moms! I'm new to twitter moms - but not to twitter. :) I'm the Founder of Emphasis On Moms (http://www.EmphasisOnMoms.com) - I'm currently looking for a new Christian parenting columnist. If interested, contact me!

Hi Twitter moms! I am joining because I want very badly to become a freelance writing mom. I have been blogging since March 2008 and have truly realized how much joy writing brings me. Its just not "work", you know? Anyway, my hope is to write to support my family some eventually. I got my first paid writing gig a few weeks back so it seems hopeful that this could happen little by little. Thanks for putting together this group, I look forward to getting to know everyone here. :)

Hi twitter moms! I used to write all the time in HS and I put it aside for culinary. I never stopped writing down my ideas for books, or jotting down the occasional short story here or there. I kept my pen from getting dusty by writing papers for friends in college, and now that I have time to write again I am thinking about jumping back in full force. Can't wait to start writing again...Oh wait I just sorta did huh?

Hi Twitter Mamas! I've been letting my writing career sit on the sidelines for years because I was raised to believe that writing wasn't a "real career." I'm so over that psychological barrier now! Something came over me this weekend and I decided to make my writing career official. Please check me out at http://www.micheledortch.com.

Can't wait to interact with you all as I learn and grow into my dream job - finally!

Hi everyone,

I'm looking forward to learning more about breaking into the paid freelance writing world. I would also like to publish a children's book and book of poems one day. I hope you will join me on twitter and look forward to getting to know you! ☺
