I'm only a bigger geek 'cause I've had more time (read years here) to play at being geeky. I'm just inquisitive and want to know everything. I should also say that I don't understand everything I read - but hey, no one completely understands everything, especially when it comes to Einstein.

I'm glad to be here with other Geeky Moms.

Diana, I bow to you because you are a far bigger geek than I am...LOL! And I do mean that in the nicest possible way. :)

I met an astrophysicist once. He was a cab driver. He told me that there there were so few positions available that someone would have to die before he could get a job. I don't know - I was a geophysicist.

Still, I love everything quantum. I never met another person who read Einstein just for the fun. Still haven't come to think of it. I must admit that I loved Stephen Hawking's "An Illustrated Brief History of Time" better than the one with just text. I have both editions and the one with pictures is the best.

I'm in heaven because yesterday I learned that Isaac Newton's books are on Google Book Search.

I love games and wish I had a wii. I just heard that Fatal Frame is coming out on the wii in December.

I've also scripted a game, but the company who paid me to do it has disappeared into the ozone. Oh well...stuff happens. I'm also a member of Women in Games International, which is a GREAT organization.

I feel kind of like a fraud because my "geek" creds are an SF book. I'm sort of geeky, in that I built my own computer, but I'm lousy with math. And I made up all the science in my book, because well, just because. **g**

Nice to meet you, Theresa/Terri! ;) Ah, Skylab...now how cool is that! For a part of my youth when I thought I would be an astrophysicist, and before I realized I'd probably be too short to qualify as an astronaut, I dreamed about how incredibly neat it'd be to work there - to wake up every day to billions of stars (oh, I miss Carl Sagan).

Hm, sort of...I remember watching the first moon landing with my dad. That was really exciting, even though I was fairly young at that time (which still makes me plenty old...hahaha). I'm more of a JPL gal than a NASA gal though. ;)

Any other space race, astronaut, NASA freaks out there???

I consider myself as being a sci-fi geek since the age of 4 when I first started watching ST:TOS. Having had a crush on Spock, I knew I had to marry a scientist....and so I did! ;)
