Ooh, I wish we had solar! I've seen some nice sets (solar panels, etc) in the Real Goods catalog. Sorry, I don't have any info or story to share, but good luck with your conversion!

Hi everyone, this will be a great educational experience for me. We've been looking into Solar energizing our home. Does anyone have a solar energized home to share their story?

Hey Ladies,
I just realized I made a BIG typo on the discussion I started yesterday! I put a wrong e-mail guess I tried to make up something that was a cross between 2 different email addresses! DUH! If you tried to respond to my e-mail I am so sorry! I need about 3 more donors so if you are interested, please e-mail me at SCAeAdmin@gmail.com. I reposed below. Thanks for all your help!

Hey my fellow Green WAHMs & businesses! I just redesigned and consolidated my sites and blog into one blog site on WP. I would love to do an Official Launch around mid-month and would like to offer daily giveaways. I NEED YOUR HELP!! Do you have an item you would be willing to donate to the Eco-Office Gals re-launch? I would link to you/describe your business & product giveaway & photo on the giveaway post, offer you a 125x125 button ad space for the week you are featured. If you have a site I would ask people to view your site, and come back and comment on their favorite product as qualification for their entry. Additionally give people the option of an additional entry by tweeting or blogging about the giveaway! I am hoping to get 10 giveaways from 10 green businesses; 1 for each business day for 2 weeks. All I need from you is picture & description of product you are donating, description and link to your business site and 125x125 web button. And an e-mail address to send the winner information to, of course! I need this to be full size product, no samples please! If you are offering a giftcard for your business, please make it an amount that people could actually purchase something in full (i.e. don't offer a $10 certificate if your products start at $30 this is not a giveaway it is a discount)
I will follow up with the winners as well and ask them to leave a comment/opinion/review of the product to give you more exposure. If this is something that strikes your interest please email me at SCAeAdmin[at]gmail[dot]com. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for all your help!

Julie,
You aren't kidding about the laundry soaps and fabric softeners and stuff I had such a problem with them myself. I didn't even know what was going on at first but I had horrible itchy skin and it got really bad until I started switching all the detergents and things to try to help calm my irritated skin not even thinking that the detergents were the cause.

Annette that is great...those chemicals are everywhere - if you haven't already, I would make sure you are using a fabric softener that's safe (Ecover's is great)...breathing in perfumes, etc. from clothes all day is intense and harmful, especially if he's already suffering. Great success story, thanks for sharing!

I have a 12 year old son with allergies & asthma, I couldn't figure out what was causing it so I did some research online & I found out that everyday household cleaners & even shampoo, conditioner & body washes all have chemicals in them that can irritate children or even adults with allergies which can also contribute to asthma. About two months ago I requested some information online about company's that make GREEN cleaners as well as personal hygiene product. I found a great one & have been using them for the past month or so. I didn't know if they would really make a difference for my son or not, but it turns out they have, he's not completely cured or anything, but he has improved since I switched over. I thought that if anyone else is having this kind of problem I could possible help. If you would like more information on the products I'm using please send me a reply. Thanks!

Yes ECHOage! I have a great one...I'm Lucy: A Day in the Life of a Young Bonobo - few things:
1. it definitely teaches and inspires and connects kids to the environment and their fellow creatures.
2. Jane Goodall wrote the afterword.
3. All profits from the book go to Jane Goodall's youth org, Roots & Shoots, and the Bonobo Conservation Initiative (when bought through the website www.bonobokids.org.
4. When you get the book, you receive a password that gives you access to the Can Do Meter - which tracks your green activities (we're currently looking for corp sponsors that will turn the points you earn for green activities into eco-friendly products or cash for donations or bonobo adoptions.
5. There is also a kids' blog on the site that is regularly updated with info, news and inspiring activities.
I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks!

Hi Green Mamas-

We are looking for suggestions of children's books that teach children real ways to help/heal the planet or at least inspire them to think about nature... There are so many good ones out there (like The Giving Tree, of course, just to name a classic...). We would like to review kids books on our site. Can you make some recommendations for us?
Thank you so much...

Do you have or do Green Products or services?
Found this site greenroost.com

What they do
If you sell stuff (eco of course) you can sell your product for 10% commission, but is low risk cause if you dont sell it does not cost you. If you have a service you can just list it Free(ie builders, consultants etc)
Plus you also get full profile and product descriptions, article posting ability and a direct link off of your profile & article signature to your site too.
Benefits; Good add to your link love and site seeding mix, relevant to category plus you get other indexable exposures for your products & svcs.
