It's a limit imposed by Ning.com (hosting site) to prevent spam complaints.

Why then do some have 500-600 friends? Even thousands. If the site is meant for networking and you belong to more then one social network on NING, 100 friends happens pretty quickly. If you have 100 and someone then requests you instead of the other way around, will that be allowed? Still learning and just want to be sure I completely understand it all. Thanks.
