Mine was a 1971 Pontiac LeMans, 350, no speedometer! The tranny finally crapped out on it.

But I've always wanted a '68 Mustang. Even when I was little, I'd see them on my way to school and thought a cool car they were.

I do own one now.

Oh, I remember those "odd/even" gas days! What a nightmare! That's when my father decided to go out and purchase a Volkswagen Rabbit. Loved bragging that he got 55mpg on diesel. He also drove like molasses. I'd get 55mpg too if I drove as slow as he did. He also thought it great fun to leave people that pissed him off in the dust in a black cloud of diesel smoke. He's not a nice person.

Fortunately, I just misssed those days. Got my license in '79, but I remember my mom and dad complaining about it.

1968 Ford Falcon that was my first car. It was my grandfather's. My brother and I had to "share" it. (every other day) Funny how my day was always the "odd" day (according to the license plate that ended in an odd number) and I would spend hours on the long gas lines. My bother of course planned it that way. I was just so glad to have a car, it did not matter.
