Productive Mom Apps?

I know there's a thread about favorite apps, but I was wondering if anyone has any favorite apps they'd like to recommend from the Productivity and/or Lifestyle categories? Is there a Birthday app you like to keep track of kids birthdays (family, playgroup, etc)? The ones I've seen take info from your Contacts, and well, I don't have contacts for the kids in our playgroup!
I've also been looking for a good app to store recipes I find online, in magazines, word of mouth, etc.
How about you? What other apps out there do you think moms would find helpful?

I just put birthdays in the built-in Calendar. What would you want a birthday app to do? No promises, but I've been thinking about getting into iPhone development and if you inspire me, I just might. ;-)

I've started using a new service called Hordit for organizing things like recipes and links. Easy to share with friends too.

For a birthday app, I just want to keep track of kids' birthdays. I suppose I can make a note of them within their moms' contact info in the address book, but I don't really think there's a need to create a separate contact entry for the kids JUST so I could store their birthdays and use one of the existing birthday apps.

I agree about the birthday reminder thing. I tried a birthday app but found that using my ical with yearly reoccuring events and then a reminder is the simplest for me.

I love Shazam as well! I always hear songs on a show, or the radio or in a store that I love and have to remember a line from the song and do a google search just to find it. Using Shazam is so much easier. Great app!!!

My wife and I have been using Baby Activity Logger. It is great for keeping track of everything going on with our little noobie.

Hi Maria,
There is an app that I use called Giftster and it's free! It keeps track of birthdays and gifts that they might like so that when it's time to purchase, you have the info in your app. It's developed by IconApps. They are in the process to beta testing a life management app that's due out in early December. I'll keep you posted!
