New show tomorrow: GRANDMAS GONE ROGUE ("Grandma Says I Can" - about the wildly different rules grandmas use when they're in charge and how they are turning our kids into crack heads. Just kidding. They're worth every broken rule if you ask me. But tune in to watch - I will let you know when it's up tomorrow!)

That's funny! Just talking outloud. I analize my son't behavior and try to change the antecedent event. I try to observe and work on the problem not the outburst. My husband is not a research, so I guide him with our behavior management. I find myself "correcting" him. The only problem is that as my son ages, different methods work, and my husband does not adapt fluidly. At 2 I found time outs worked, at 3 um a little bit of this and that, but as he is approaching 4 I find that giving him privileges works well. As I am blabbing, I guess the main difference is that I am a proactive behavior management parent, and my husband follows my lead.

To me, it's not that I'm parented so much, more like critiqued. I have a different style of parenting.

Spilled some soda? Whatev.... we'll clean it up AFTER we find out how to make these bacon wrapped baconbits. (my little one and I love food network) ..... (wait... is there a recipe for bacon wrapped baconbits?)

ok total brain fart due to massive bacon craving

"What's UP with Daddy???"

That video was so great, so much truth to it. I totally agree that women need to learn how to "work" the situation. My wife makes me an offer I can't refuse, for example this last Saturday. "Hey hun, why don't you take mykenna (7yr old daughter) to go see that new Video Game related movie and I'll clean up the house and get started on dinner." My wife hates my style of movies so I never get to watch them unless I go alone or it comes out on DVD, so this was a big GREEN LIGHT. She got to enjoy a couple of hours a "her" time where she could read, watch whatever and we came back home happy. She worked it.

Your videos are hilarious! I'm going to share the "Daddy doesn't do it right" with my friends on Facebook. We just had this exact conversation a few weeks ago. My husband used to give our kids who were toddlers at the time pieces of fruit and crackers as "dinner".

I look forward to adding some of these videos to my posts and writing about my own adventures with my family.
