Good luck, Monica! Uh, what's an Einstein coat?

I am finishing my felted bag and am getting ready to start an Einstein coat for my 3 year old before I make one for myself. Wish me luck!!!

Lisa, tell us what you end up picking to make!

Just signed up to take a 6 week knitting class today. Should be fun! Two hour class that meets once a week. I'm supposed to pick a project to work on for the class. I hope it goes well!

Well, darn...I have to wind the wool into balls first before I can start knitting. :} I forgot it came in hanks.

Great advice, Anne!

I'm going to use the pattern on p. 63 of "The Yarn Girls' Guide to Simple Knits" and wool from Green Mountain Spinnery.

I've also started knitting yet another pair of socks. It's with a yarn that has chitin in it. Has anyone else used that? I think I got it at Mary Maxim.com

You're going to love it. Take your time and be patient. I wasn't so concerned with perfection on my first project as I was for completion! It's a bit like putting a puzzle together - start with easier ones and then move up!

Am about to start my first ever sweater...wish me luck! ;)

It really is addictive! I only know how to cast on and one basic stitch, and I'm already bringing my stupid, extremely ugly project with me everywhere! Next I need to learn how to finish. I guess I could call what I'm doing a "scarf". My 6 year old was calling it a "barf." I think that might be more appropriate!

Oh... you just wait and see. Soon, you'll be bringing knitting everywhere you go! It's SO addictive!
