Hi Everyone,

I'm new here & I waned to say hello. I think I qualify as being crazy about knitting. Over the weekend I actually made a list of my WIP's and its approaching ten projects. Yikes. Start-it-itis need to morph into a finishing frenzy soon or I'm in trouble.

Socks and lace are my favorite projects. I've got three lace projects going, a second sock to finish, a Norah Gaughn cabled coat, and a few other gift items on the needles.

As another knitter once said, "If you've seen me, you've seen me knitting."

Peace,

Evelyn

I wouldn't say I'm "crazy about kitting," but I'm crazy and I knit, does that count?

I think the Einstein coat looks great (and no cables is good for beginners like me too)! Thanks for enlightening me, Monica, and smooth knitting to you! :)

The Einstein coat is a wonderful coat that is just a straight knit project. No cables or purls. A picture of the adult version is http://www.ample-knitters.com/einstein.html
I can't wait to get started!

Ooops! I meant to say earlier "I hate to...", not "I had to..." The coffee wasn't strong enough at lunch. ;)

Please post a photo of the baby sweater when you're done, Anne; I love to see other people's work!

Thanks for the encouragement - I'm sure it will be smooth sailing after this glitch!

That's too bad, Anne. I had to unravel my knitting. Good luck second time around! :)

p.s. the group knitting travel would be so incredibly fun, but yeah, I'm in the same spot...kids and finances preclude such plans currently.

Thought I had both sides of front of baby sweater done - did two the same, have to take out down to the sleeve shaping.....not having fun with this one!

I went to my knitting group yesterday, we meet Thursdays from 7-9pm, and discovered that one of the local sheep farms is looking to see what the interest level would be for group knitting travel. They are looking at trips to Ireland, Scottland, here on the island that would include visits to fiber farms, planned meals, optional classes and activities geared toward destination. Would love to participate, kids and finances a bit small right at the moment!
