twitter moms: the influential moms network

I see that the majority of us have 4 kids, but a good number have five (and some sixes and sevens in there too!) Just curious how many kids all of you plan to add to your family, whether through birth or adoption?

When I had three kids, I thought that was my limit, but after I had four I found myself much more open to the idea of having more. Since we're young parents and would like to enjoy some freedom in our late 40s and 50s, we don't plan to have more beyond 5, but the idea of stopping there makes me a little wistful (even as I shudder at the idea of trading in our minivan for a conversion van...)

Anyone have a definite idea of how many kids they'd like to have?

I want as many as the Lord will give me! So far that means 0 biological children and 4 adopted. Naomi was adopted at 4yo from Bolivia, she is going to be 13 in a couple weeks. Jacob, Alexander, & Rachel were adopted at 4wo locally and they are now busy 3yo tots! I actually just lost a baby about a week ago but God has graciously given me supernatural peace about it. I could feel that something was really wrong with the whole thing.

My dream growing up was to have 5 to 7 kids, so the triplets got me really close to one of my goals. hehe

Once this baby is born, he/she will be #6 for us and I dont know how many more I could handle. I thought 5 was enough but DH has super sperm so after this, I'm thinking we are done.

We have 5 and would love to keep going. "Children are a blessing from the Lord", right? So, BLESS ME Lord!!
We have always thought the magic number would be 8, but we are open to however many kids we get...even if that means 5 is it.

We have two sets of twins and we really were only going for 3, but with IVF you have to roll the dice and hope for the best, so we had 3 embryos transferred the last time and ended up with twins again. Our kids are 4.5 y/o girls and 9 m/o boys and that is a gracious plenty, as my grandmother would say. :)

I am currently preggers with #4 and because of them all being c sections ( with quite a bit of adhesions ) i have decided that this will be my last. I hope someday down the road i don't decide i would like another one though because its def a tough descicion but its for the best.

We never planned on how many we were going to have. Our first 5 years of marriage we couldn't seem to get pregnant. Five sons later we seemed to have figured it out.I thought I was done at 4 but a few years later I decided one more. I am so glad I did but I can say with complete confidence we are not having any more. I had an older friend who was mom to four and she told me you will know when you are done and she was right.

I had all 5 of boys via c-section. If you decide to have another one take heart it can be done.

We will have baby #5 in June and I am almost positive this will be it. I am getting older, no more room in the house, no more room in the van and imagining college for all 5 is making the decision for me. We have 4 boys and waiting to be surprised with baby #5.

We are done with 5 children. Finally had my girl, she is 15 mths. Also, I'll be 42 in June. Debbie can't wait to find out what you have! Little girls are so sweet! However, having another boy would be great!
