Wow Amy, that's good. I saw on one of my statements today that our payoff amount is so low that we just might stretch and pay it off to say we're done with it! If so, we'd be down to two also. WTG girl!

Hello,
This year I'm going to try to live on a budget... I have this tendency to buy toys while I'm shopping with my little guy. This has to stop LOL Also even if I make a shopping list I buy beyond it.

Hey Everyone:

I have just started a new group called Super Moms. Are you a Super Mom?

Are you part-teacher, part-doctor, part-taxi driver, part-coach, part-cheerleader, part-housekeeper, part-boss, and part-whatever else has been handed? Have you been up since the crack of dawn after working so long into the night? Do you have the ability to invent extra hours in the day for juggling kids, schedules, housework and your job? Do you have the ability to change a dirty diaper, help with a school project and even take a conference call all at once?

If one or more of these describe you, then you could be a Super Mom. Please join us at Super Moms.

Yea for Dave!! It totally makes a difference in how you think doesn't it? Can't wait to be debt free.

Well... Let's talk about "living Dave" for a minute... Yesterday my husband totaled our almost paid off 2003 Explorer. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. Unfortunately I just put $650 into that truck a week ago to get it all fixed (water pump, rear differential, half a dozen new belts). I am hoping insurance will reimburse it. The way things look insurance will pay off the loan (we have the extra coverage for that) but won't give us anything over & above that amount (plus we have the deductible to pay). Now, before Dave we would have gone out and gotten another car with a loan attached. Now we are going to find the cheapest, best running car we can for my husband to drive to work. Cash only.

So, that takes another bill off our snowball! (silver lining)
And the payment hadn't come out yet this month (it pulls on the 12th) so we set a "stop payment" on it with the bank & called Ford Credit to tell them we stopped it. (another silver lining)

My husband and I took a Dave Ramsey course about a year ago.

I'm starting the envelope system for my household money (groceries, gas, school lunches etc). I'm hoping spending REAL money will help me be more critical of purchases at the grocery store.
