Thought that I'd join as I can use all the help I can get. My brother and his wife lost their jobs so they and their three girls have moved in with my husband, myself and our three kids. It's great because now we have someone to split expenses with. But we still need to work on being more frugal with groceries and whatnot. :-)

I hope to get some inspiration here in my thriftiness...But I need balance. Too often saving money for me means to stop buying stuff at all. Now my wardrobe is seriously out of date and worn and it's going to be expensive to play catch up. I also like recycling, so buying used is a great thing and selling used stuff even better!

We went through Dave Ramsey's course last year. We have been debt for for over a year now, it is great. We still use his budget sheets and write up a budget every month. Currently we are saving up to pay cash for another vehicle. Hopefully we will meet our goal by March.

Yay! Happy to have found this group. I need to work on our budget. Currently, our budget is only the fixed price bills. There is nothing on there regarding food, gas, daily expenses. Hmm...so is that really a budget or merely a reminder to pay your bills? lol Yes, sad I know.

i've been unemployed since the first weekend of june and will finally start a new job on the november 24th. figure in a move from georgia to texas as well as a 13 year old daughter and my budget is stretched super thin.

i am open to all ideas.

We recently sold some things and have some excess cash. Not complaining, but I don't know what to do with it. Options are pay off home equity loan and sock away a small amount, or pay off RV and try to get rid of it, or just bury it in the backyard, LOL. I already used some of it and paid off 2 credit cards. I have one more to finish off, but had already budgeted to have that one paid off next month. I want to use it for the best, and not piddle it away.
