Hi all,
My name is Lori Paquette, a working mom living in Chapel Hill, NC with husband of 19 years David, and two children, Matthew age 6 and Nathalie age 9 (Nat came one month after our 10th anniversary). Quality time has been limited since he travels at least once a month throughout the year. Last year he was gone nearly 1/2 the year, which put a strain on us, since I don't get the opportunity (or create the opportunity) to get away from the kids on my own or with him to keep things alive. We don't have any family in the area to support us and have had less than reliable child care lately, so it's been very frustrating trying to carve some time in for us.

Hello everyone, my name is Emily. I have been married for almost a year, and were together four years before we got married. We have a beautiful baby girl together who is about to turn one!(baby and marriage came a little out of order, but hey we already had the wedding planned before I got pregnant) We are still pretty young and life is very busy right now, so we dont get a whole lot of quality time together. He works days and I work nights so I can be home with our daughter during the days. We usually only have one day off together every two weeks, but it is ok. Things will settle down when we pay off some bills. We still talk every day during lunch breaks, and send a few cute text messages here and there throughout the day to keep in touch.

HI!!!
My name is Jamie, I have been married for a year to my husband Lance. We have a six month old daughter named Abigail! I am a stay at home mom and my husband is the worker of the family, he is a supervisor for a cable fitters company, they pu;; cables and install all the lines in new construction buildings for their cable phone internet and anyother technoligy needs they might need. He also has his own company that he has built from the ground up, it started as a side buisness when i was pregnant that he did on weekends to bring home so extra cash and has exploded into another full time job and has recently hired on a crew of 2 other guys to help. He installs home theater systems and custom designs home theater and video systems for clients! Since my husband is so buisy and is not home alot or is working when he is home, we get our quality time in when it is time for bed, we always talk about our day and just anything that seems interesting to one another before we go to sleep. I think that the secret to out marriage is that we tell eachother everything, we are very open and honest to eachother and are truely eachothers best friends. From the moment we met almost 3 years ago we just connected and found it very easy to talk to eachother! We are very supportive of eachother even if we dont fully agree 100% what the other one is doing, we still support eachother! i am very excitted to meet other moms and wives like me!!!!

Hi Im from England have been married nearly 6 years to my childhood sweetheart. We have just had our first baby she is 19 weeks old, and today we went out for lunch on our own! The first quality time we have had since she was born. We are close to both sides of our family so are surrounded by brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. He is my soul mate I know that sounds cheesy, but we havent spent more than 3 weeks apart since I was 14 and he was 16, we are now 27 and 29! Marriage can seem to be portrayed as very old fashioned at times but it was the best thing we ever did, not that its always easy!! We both work and he works night shifts but we knew it would be hard work and we arent quitters!

Hi Kat,

Quality time is very important, especially since your husband works nights. I used to work odd shifts (12pm to 8pm and 10am to 5pm Sat), then I began working at home. It's nice to see one another in the evenings, and our children are no longer in daycare programs. It's wonderful that you have family support and are able to get out. Congratulations on your lovely daughter! It's nice to meet you.

Hi everyone!
I am Kristin, married for 8 years, with 2 kids...a 20 month old and a 3 year old. I spend quality time with my husband every night...our girls go to bed early, so we are thankful for that, lol!
I stay home with our girls, and I also make paper mache beads, which I sell on Etsy, along with some other things.. but, that is just a hobby.
I look forward to being a part of this group!
Take Care,
Kristin

Hello my name is Christine. I'm new to the group, to the site and to the whole Twitter thing. It is a pleasure to be here and to meet all of you. A little about me. I am married to a wonderful man and we have 4 children 3 boys ages 9,3,2 and a girl 3month old. We have been married for 7 years now. (wow I can't believe it's been that long..time flies when you are having fun). We moved here to MN for TX 1 year ago. We came down with 3 children and than shortly there after we added another one. Which was great because this was the girl I've been wanting.
We are all named Chris..My husband name is Christopher, I'm Christine we have Christian, Christopher, Christoph and Christie. When you say Chris in our house..everybody turns to see who..(LOL)
I am a SHAM (stay at home mom) who is also a WAHM (work at home mom).
I work for a wonderful health & wellness company. I enjoy being able to work from home. It give me the opportunity to be with our children all day and raise them and also allows me to contribute to the household income. My husband and I are pretty much homebodies. I'ts not easy to get somebody to watch 4 kids all at once. So we just do a lot of bringing the outside in. Meaning that if we wanted to go dancing or out to dinner..I would make sure the kids does not take a nap that day, that way I can put them to bed early. And we can have our evening. There's nothing like being snuggle up close with him watching a good movie and having a glass of wine. Now don't get me wrong...It is not always peaches and cream. But the good times way out the bad. I would not change my life or trade him for nothing in this world.

~~~Thank you guys for letting me share
