What is your favorite craft?

Upcycling or repurposing is one of my favorite ways to craft. Basically it's finding news uses or purposes for things you normally donate, throw away, put in a yard sale, no longer need/want. Example would be to use a bedroom dresser as a dining room buffet, books into lamps, wood doors into coffee/kitchen tables, tshirts to toddler lounge pants, milk jugs into decorative toy containers, etc. This save us money by not spending on gadgets when something we aren't using is converted to something we will use. It also saves the environment by keeping it out of the landfills.

My favorite medium is fabric. There nearest consignment store is 80 miles away and yard sales only get rid of so much which leaves me with lots of clothes the kids have outgrown. I just hate tossing them in the garbage so I used them to craft.

My favorite craft is cooking! Is cooking a craft or an art? I suppose it depends on who you are asking. A posh French Chef might say art but perhaps a Home Maker might say craft. I consider myself a Home Maker so I'll stick to craft.

I love to combine different crafts into a single project ... a "craft-fusion" kind of approach. For example, quilting, beading and painting (see an example here)

Here's a recent one that includes upcycling as well.

I love to:
Knit and Crochet, make Fabric Yo-Yos, Felt Roses, Owls and other felt stuff, Button flowers, Scrabble tile necklaces, Scrapbooks/Mini Albums/Altered items, Artist Trading cards, Hand Stamped crads, Vintage Crafts.
I love photography, baking and gardening too. I also repurpose items as well. ie: window frames into photo frames.
