I don't disagree that for whatever reason, her tenacity, grit, whatever, she has been very successful, and I would LOVE to go to one of her shows, but she gets on my nerves sometimes. It is just me and I still love her books and recipes and crafts and everything. I just don't think we would be close friends. But that is ok because I can still benefit from her wealth of knowledge without having to put up with her personality flaws. Ahh, the beauty of TV.

I disagree. Martha has always been the same person, and that's part of what makes people drawn to her, and also what has made her so sucessfull. Because of my blog, I was invited by one of Martha's people to attend her show last year and it was the experience of a lifetime! I do wish she would get back to more crafting than cooking though on the show, which it seems she has gotten a bit away from.

Like some of you have said, watching Martha can get to me, she just comes off so patronizing to most of her guests, and she really needs to come up with a new adjective besides "beautiful" but I use her website regularly and love how most of the crafts come with printable templates. So handy.

Tali, I love Family Fun and have a handful of their books, I have not heard of Craft, I will have to look into it. I have a weakness for magazines.
