And I too think McCain is a patriot and a hero. He votes his heart, but I don't know if he always votes his conscience.

Oh no, I don't think he is. I certainly didn't mean to imply that at all :-)
I think he's a middle manager who works both ends to please the middle.

I'm surprised that you think McCain is a true conservatve. I think he's a fine man, and a true reformer and Amercian patriot, but I don't see him as a true conservative. I love that you mention J.C. Watts! There's someone I could get behind. I agree that we need to pull together. I saw that comic your firend mentioned. It was a good one. Let's just hope they can't pass the Fairness Doctrine or we're up a creek! :)

He's very much a conservative Republican.

I had a good lunch with another like-minded friend. We both felt that electing a Congress person for a leadership role is like hiring a middle manager to be a CEO. You want someone who isn't afraid of leadership. Sarah Palin is an awesome leader being the governor of the largest state that has a strategically important National Guard. Still, I'm quite fond of J. C. Watts and Fred Thompson. I felt Guliani and Romney quit too quickly.

Well, we need to pull together, identify what it is we want to pursue, and then do it.

Oh at lunch, my friend said he saw a comic this morning that showed a "headline" from 2000 "Bush 52% Country Divided" and 2008 "Obama 51% Country United"

We need to stifle the media or use it to our advantage. I'm all for manipulating it the way they manipulated us.

I am frustrated by the McCain campaign coming out and attacking Sarah Palin! Are you kiddin' me? She is the reason we were as close as we were, what with a RINO at the top of the ticket.

I'm still grieving, too. But, I also feel this is a call for us to be warriors on our knees. Biblical heroes like Esther, Daniel and Nehemiah come to mind, as they all served in times of extreme conflict representing the counter-culture. Government may not be on our side, but God's Kingdom is! The question to me is, "Am I Listening? Praying? Trusting?" Thank you for being here and letting me chime in.

This morning I could not even say my morning prayer I just repeated I do not know how may times, Father have mercy on us.

I still can not believe it is true .My only hope is that God is still in control - no matter who is the president. And I pray that God will guide those in authority whether they ask for it or not.

And I pray that He will heal our heart. And I pray with humble heart :Father give us Your protection.

God Bless You All.

This hit me hard too. I'm glad we have each other to get us through these next four years. It's going to take a lot of prayer and support.

I'm just trying to breathe through it. We should hold a wake. Thank you everyone who spent time and money on the election.

What a dark day. A president who befriends terrorists, who want to "sit down and chat" with extreme dictators and a first lady who is ashamed of her country. All I can say is God help us all and when does the first flight leave for Canada? Hopefully the Conservatives in congress and the senate will be able to put a reign on Obama and crew's socialist propaganda.
