Mean Mommies

Sometimes feel like you're the meanest mom out there? Ever feel like you're the only one who knows how to say "no"? Have teenagers who think you're the worst? Other moms think you're cruel? Come talk about it!

Good morning mean mommies, I apparently am the worst mommy because I wont let my 17 year old son drive his car, or hang out with his girlfreind untill he get's a job!! I'm tired of paying his bills, i have my own. I took my 12 year old sons Itouch away for looking at inappropriate material, and he said none of his friends' moms have done that. I think it's funny he always thinks i'm concerned about his freinds and their parents. LOL

I'm the meanest mommy because I ran out of cream cheese and my 5 yr. old couldn't have a bagel for breakfest. LOL!

I am the meanest mom ever cuz I actually make my kids do chores. Every Saturday is chore day, and boy do they get mad!!! They even complain to neighbors about the stuff they have to do. Of course, when I ask if they'd like *my* To-Do List there are never any takers. Then they just mope around the house looking at me like I peed in their Cheerios. One day they'll thank me, and until then, I get by on the compliments I receive on my well behaved hardworking children!

Hello to all of the "Mean Mommas". I don't consider myself mean but I do mean what I say. My oldest daughter thinks that I am the meanest mommy ever. I am mean if I do not let her stay over a classmates house-I don't know them. I am mean if I ground her. I am mean if I say go to bed. I am mean if I say no juice-drink water oh my the list can go on and on. I am a concerned parent.

Wow, this is absolutely the group for me! It's actually my own mother who calls me "mean" at least once a day! She tries to convince my son that I'm being "mean" and "picking on him", etc., just because I try to give him rules to follow. I don't make empty threats like she does, and my son has come to recognize the difference between us. I know that I am the only one in his life right now who can teach him right from wrong, and that there are consequences for his actions. In a nutshell, I pray that someday he'll see that everything I've done, I've done out of love.

I guess you could have called me a mean mommy (back in the day), my girls questioned why I didn't allow them to go riding all around the neighbor-hood by themselves. They laughed then, but I am the one laughing now as my two grown daughters do not let their children go running around the neighbor unattended...(just like me) hehe. My grandchildren are taught safty, and we adults love to bike ride, walk & pay outdoor games together! My 5 grandchildren will no doubt grow up into "mean mommys & daddys" as well. Maybe this comment will help some of you young "mean moms" hang in there.

Recenltly my 32 yr old daughter told me that her father and she had been discussing a matter when he just blurted out..."You're just like your mother!"....My daughter shared with me her reply: " That's the greatest compliment you could ever give me, to be just like my mom!"
