Just a few rules...

There aren’t a lot of rules - but we are asking that both good manners and good blogging courtesy be observed.
The few rules are:
NO POLITICS - no specific “vote for” or name calling of candidates.
NO RELIGION - there are members of many faiths in the service, please use courtesy when speaking of religious beliefs, no proselytizing .
Most importantly - OPSEC! These are guidelines taken from both DOD and other military web pages.

Hello everyone! I am a SAHM/ army wife. I'm glad I finally joined. We move basically every two years. Its hard to keep making new friends in each area. My daughter will be 2 in December.

Hi guys, I am so excited to share with you a great new resource. Please check out and become a member of the National Association of Military Moms and Spouses! This is a new online organization originally created as a way to connect with spouses in my squadron. It ballooned to become a national association. Please check it out...it's not just another military resource, but it's a community created to share with each, promote mil moms and spouse owned businesses, and provide great resources for the military lifestyle with free monthly teleseminars.

Check it out at www.nammas.ning.com...I hope to see you there! And please....let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Lori Bell

Old Glory Soldiers Comment by Old Glory Soldiers on May 5, 2009 at 4:44pm
Hi! I am an Active Duty Army Wife, mother of two Brats, one girl, one boy ... and I am a Brat myself. We are currently stationed in Panama City, and therefore are remote, not living on an Army installation.

I own a business, Old Glory Soldiers, that we started when stationed at Fort Polk in 2002, due to the huge response to all our handmade items we decorated our home in. I sell around the world, which is nice, since I never know where the Army will send us. We are coming up on a move in the next 6-8 months, and if we make it to that mark, it will be the longest we have ever lived in one place, logging in at 3 years!

I am glad I just found this site ... I just found it through Twitter, which I also just found a couple of days ago, so it is all very new to me.

I hope to get to know everyone, and if you have any questions please visit me, or feel free to ask. I have lived in so many different places and went to junior high school and started high school in Germany. I am well versed in Military Life :)

Have a great week!!

Hi ladies, I'm Rea. I'm a Navy wife, Army Reservist and newly stationed at Okinawa Japan. The move was hell (movers were terrible) traveling with 2 cats and a 4 month old was fun *eye rolls*.
Mari....the best advise I have is lists, lists, lists and give yourself time to pack important things yourself. My husband procrastinated on a lot and it added to my stress level.
My son will be 5 months old tomorrow and for now I'm still a stay at home mom. I will be returning to work but not for a couple more months.
Look forward to getting to now all you ladies!

You know what. I just realized I'm not a military mom. Just a military wife. I'm the mom to a daughter who is a military brat. LOL

I need to run out the door but I wanted to stop in and say hello. I just joined the group! I've been a military mom for 17 years and a military wife for 20.
