I check in with most of the blogs on a regular basis - but sometimes I don't have anything to say—at least anything that would be genuine other than "cool post". On the other end, I can tell when people are commenting just to comment on my blog and I tend to not publish those comments... How to deal? Maybe asking people to just check in and read then comment if they want to -- although there really isn't a way to check up on who has been reading what.

I have gotten some emails lately. Some from people who are not receiving comments, and some from people who want to leave comments, but are finding some of the member blogs to be a bit irrelevant to them.
I can see both issues. Some blogs are giveaway and review focused, and may not interest those seeking traditional mom blogs, and others might be very specific and appealing, yet not necessarily 'mom' focused.
I just wanted to address this as something I'm aware of, but not really sure how to remedy the problem. One thing I truly believe is that we should not be leaving generic 'Nice post' or "great blog' comments, so there may be some blogs/post that other are just not able to genuinely take interest in.
Any suggestions on how to deal with this? For now, I suggest we comment where/when we can, but to those who might not feel they are not receiving the amount of comments that they are giving, you let me know what you think I should do.
If anyone decides to leave the group, I would greatly appreciate you telling me so I can take your name off the roster.
Honestly, I'm open to suggestions. The group got bigger than I anticipated, so there is bound to be some lack of reciprocation for several different reasons.
