twitter moms: the influential moms network

I want to build my blog to bring in extra income, but I don't want it to be a blog where all the posts are ads for an Amazon astore. That totally works for some people, but so not my thing.

How do you get sponsors and independent advertisers? Am using adsense and have made a whole $1.22 in the last three months. I have a growing readership (100+ unique visitors per day, 20ish returning visitors a day) and would like to up the ante.

How do you "famous" mommy bloggers do it? What avenues should I be exploring?

Try Project Wonderful. You put the code in your sidebar then advertisers come to you. I have 4 small adboxs on my right side of my blog, but they have a million options for sizes and numbers that you can choose. You can set it so that you must approve the ads first so that you only have what you want being advertised. You should also make a button that says "Advertise here" that links to a page where you pitch yourself. Share what your blog is about, who you are, how many subscribers you have, how many average visitors you get, ect... Also don't be afraid to email companies, smaller companies and people who sell things on Etsy are great. If you find a company that you like hit them with an email explaining your blog and that you would love to have them advertise with you.

Check out ProBlogger.net, it's a great blog and has lots of tips and ideas on making money with your blog.

Hi Ninja Mom,

I am one of those mommy bloggers that earns a good extra income. I started out with one blog but when that one blog started making money, I created more blogs. I have a post on one of my blogs that lists some resources for paid blogging. The post is located at: http://internetmarketermommy.com/blogging/paid-to-blog-resource-list/
