twitter moms: the influential moms network

Hi there - I have a blog about home business/internet marketing and use squarespace. I've been happy with it, especially the traffic monitoring and referral sources. I'm now going to start a second blog that is more personal/less business focused and am trying to decide which blogging company to go with. What is your favorite and why?
thanks for your help!

I only use WordPress...the self-hosted version. I think it was an important switch when I finally made it. It offers endless possibilities when you look at it from a business perspective, and yes, it's a little harder to use, but there are a ton of very handy WP experts and tutorials out there. :)

Good luck with your decision!

Wordpress is my favorite for these ease of use and so many free themes and plug ins available.

I work with Typepad, Blogger and Wordpress and like Wordpress the best. All have their pros and cons but WP is the best as far as ease and options. Downside: You can't alter the html without paying a small amount where as with Blogger, you can. But if you aren't using their templates, you won't have to worry about that. Downside of blogger: They have a bar on the top to go to "next blog". You aren't supposed to take it off although some people do. Often "next blog" will take the browser to adult sites.

I started of with blogger, then found out about wordpress.com. I really loved wordpress.com. I then moved on to the self-hosted WP and I'm in love.

I started out with Wordpress.com but, I didnt like it. Too confining to me, i didnt understand it and got really frustrated trying to learn how. I am with Blogger now and i LOVE it.

We run all of our blogs on the B2Evolution scripts.

They are much less of a server hog than WP.

What ever you do get your own hosting & therefore you OWN your blog! Also might consider that if you buy your domain name from Namecheap - it is registered in YOUR name not in another companies name. Then if you change host... you have the control to change where it points...
