Newly Diagnosis of Type 1

I am a stay at home mother or two and just this week my 5 year old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It has been an extremely overwhelming experience and I definately feel like information overload.
Is there any parents out there that have the same experience or might have some support or any information(suggestions) about type 1 diabetes?
