I enjoy drawing and painting in addition to writing and sewing. I will participate in my second NaNoWriMo in November. Though I played the clarinet in 7th - 10th grades, I much prefer lyrics (words) to actually playing an instrument. I do still remember how to read musical notes though.

Hey there. I'm a musician; clarinet, piano, sax, drums and voice (and now guitar hero heh heh). I also enjoy painting and art. Im glad to see there are so many children's writers here. My daughter although only going on 1 in a few weeks is a book enthusiast (just like her daddy). I also enjoy the odd art project around the home. Her bedroom is a mural of safari animals with a giant tree and sky with clouds ceiling.

Hi, I'm a German writer of crime novels and children's books!
Nice to meet you here. I've written severel books in German with english dialogues for a famous dictionary publisher (Langenscheidt). So German children may learn English the easy way :-)

Hi! I'm a children's writer, currently pre-published ;-) I have three girls who are active in theater, (They were just cast in The Wizard of Oz!) dance and soccer. I do the PR, writing press releases and promoting their plays.

I am part of www.kidlitcentralnews.com, a group of 30 children's writers in the Midwest who post articles on writing for children, interviews, reviews...all about children's books originating in the Central U.S. I just started a new site, www.cookingupstories.com, where I teach kids to write, using a cooking theme.

I used to write short stories and hope to get back to that. Meanwhile, I just wrote a blog post on what I've been dealing with these past five years spent navigating the school system with a boy with learning differences (see this post). I wonder if there is a group out there for kids of children with dyslexia, etc.? (If not, maybe I will start one.)

Anyway, glad to be a part of this group!
