Ready for potty training...now what

My son is showing signs that he's ready to start potty training. He tells me when he poops and wants to be in the bathroom with my husband when he pees. (He even claps when daddy is done). Day care has also noticed and is starting to introduce him to the potty. I'm totally clueless. Looking for recs on books, pottys and anything else I might need to know.

my son is 2 and a half is has been showing signs and tells me when he has to go #1 or 2 but when he sits on his potty chair he gets scared and tells me hes scared. i started to give him all of his favorite books and he loves music so i got a mini radio and hes starting to sit on it for longer periods of time but no pee yet so at least hes getting more comfortable on it. you could always try giving him his favorite book or toy or put him in front of the tv til he gets comfortable on it.
