This is a god-send. My son is undergoing tests right now and asperger's is at the top of our list. I have so many questions and would love to have a group of women who are going through the same thing to help me through this time! Wow! Thank you!!

Autism and Parenting Examiner blog - is autism a "prison" or a "playground?" Should "typicalness" be the goal? http://is.gd/ojNV

Karrie, Thank you SO much for creating this group. I am so touched by the support I see happening here. I am actually not a mom of a child with Asperger's, but I support a lot of moms of kids with Asperger's and autism as a parent coach and as a special educator, and this is such a blessing to me as a resource where I can bring moms and link them up to others who are walking the same road. I can already think of 3 moms I plan to e-mail tonight to tell them about this group! I also want to send you an e-hug after having read your post of November 12th about the report you were given by your child's school. I hope they offered you a lot of support along with that report!!

I asked families to send Valentines to loved ones with autism. They did! Here are nearly fifty wonderful appreciations to enjoy, share, or add to: http://autism.about.com/b/2009/02/14/valentines-galore-for-loved-ones-with-autism.htm.

Hi! I'm mom to two - a daughter and son. My son is an Aspie...thus my "name" of Mom on Mars. Feel like I can't quite get a handle on how his brain works, and I feel like I'm navigating around unchartered territory most of the time. Sounds like I am not alone!
