My son get's into giggling fits that he just can't help and are sometimes a little disruptive (have you ever sat through a movie with someone who can't stop laughing no matter what's going on?) He gets so upset with himself because he really can't help it. I had read somewhere that sometimes giggling fits are a sign of yeast overgrowth and that probiotics can help. We started buying him yogurt at the store with probiotics in it and within a couple days it really made a difference. I forgot to get him yogurt last time and now the giggles are back : ( Needless to say I'll be heading to the store tomorrow : ) Has anyone else had to deal with the giggles?

We have giggle issues as well. Our son is on a diet to reduce yeast production (no sugar or even natural sugars) and we are flooding him with acidophillus. Alot of times, the giggles he experiences are from a nervous reaction - since he doesn't quite know the socially acceptable way to handle a situation. I will tell you that the GFCF diet along with reducing yeast and flooding the body with probiotics has substantially decreased ALOT of socially-unacceptable behaviors in him. It is a pain in the bum and costs alot of money, but we see a DRAMATIC change in our son. :)

I'm glad to hear we're not the only ones dealing with the giggles. We are trying to make some diet changes and add some suppliments but it does get expensive. It is amazing how much diet changes can help though, just the probiotics and a daily mulivitamin has help Sean's behavior a bit. We also started limiting bright food colorings and that helps a ton. I hadn't thought much about the colored cereals but we had bought Sean a box of trix and he became the biggest grump in the world, when I got to analyzing what was different I realized the cereal was the only real change that week. We switched him to plain cheerios and his behavior was better within a couple days. It's crazy how that works : )

Yes my son has been doing that for the last month. There is usually something that triggers is, like if he sees something that he thinks is funny. But once he starts its hard to get him to stop.
