twitter moms: the influential moms network

Hello Everyone~

I just started a discussion for twitter id's, but also thought (half way through the post for that one) that knowing each other's blogs might be nice too. I have a blog that highlights some of my thoughts and feelings around being a mom, wife, woman and mother of a SN child. I like to follow other blogs that do the same. Yes, I am a member of blogger moms, but I thought it would be nice to have a record of blogs that are specific to special needs.

So, if you have one or know of one you'd like to share, please list it here so we can all start following via RSS or email.

Mine is www.GeneralHysteria.blogspot.com

Looking forward to reading and following. Mia.

I am just a mom who has a son diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. At my blog I share info about Special Needs children. Sharing information is the key to finding answers.

Moms of Special Needs Children

I think we (parents of special needs children) can learn from each other and sharing our thoughts and interventions really helps everyone in the long run. Finding other parents that are like us is very therapeutic in so many ways. Blogging about our triumphs and downfalls lets others know that we are not alone in this world and raising a child with special needs has its ups and downs.

Hi all,

I run http://specialneedskidstalkradio.com where I try to bring awareness to all things "special needs".

I'll be taking a closer look at everything listed here because I am looking for people to interview (both written and live radio) as well as, products to review and just general information regarding special needs kids and the parents and caregivers who provide for them.

Hi everyone,
I have a 6 year old daughter who was diagnosed in 2007 with Social Anxiety disorder but our struggles started long ago. There is so much misunderstanding of how debilatating social anxiety is for some. I have started a blog for parents raising these wonderful children that face such challenges in every day life. Thank you so much for letting me post my blog site and I welcome and invite everyone to see the wonderful resources I have uncovered.
Check it out at www.raisingsociallyanxiouschildrenblog.com

My id on twitter is @hellokittiemama and also @amblyopiakids

I have 2 special needs related blogs. My "main" blog is The Bon Bon Gazette where I discuss my son who has autism, the gluten casein free diet and dealing with neurotypical siblings.

My newest blog has to do with my daughter's diagnosis with amblyopia - which is vision 'problem'. She is only using one eye to see and the other is losing vision, so we are on the road to recovering her sight. That blog is called Adventures in Amblyopia (Amblyopiakids)

My blog is called Autism is Not the Boss at http://www.autismisnottheboss.com. We're new and clueless to the big world of social networking and web marketing. The site attempts to focus (although we get occasionally sidetracked) on parenting tips for educational and community inclusion, homework/responsibility/independence and most of all, how to have fun as a family.

Beyond my kids' developmental concerns, all three have asthma. For almost five years, I've been blogging at:

If you've got asthmatic kids, I may have some resources for you there!

Hi All,
I'm new to TwitterMoms and looking forward to connecting with everyone! I have 2 children, a son and a daughter, ages 9 and 13. My son is deaf (w/cochlear implants) and also has issues with anxiety and sensory integration.

I have a special needs blog, The Special Needs Parent, at http://www.SpecialNeedsParentCoach.com/blog , where I write about navigating life as a parent of a child with special needs. I post an Action Step for Balanced Living every Monday, and a special needs Quote of the Week every Friday. I like to include books that I think are outstanding, and resources & products that catch my eye for their uniqueness, superior quality, great service, etc. Sometimes I'll write about my 2 kids, or share quirky but effective parenting tips as I discover them, or discuss a question people ask me frequently as a life coach.

So basically my blog is a smorgasbord of all kinds of things related to special needs. I hope you'll come visit!
:)

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site and i thought i would come over here and meet everyone in the special needs group and say "hi!" I have a 17 year old daughter with CP, and my family has become quite the disability advocates around the country due to her disability. My husband started a company called Flavorx which helps kids take their meds due to her lack of compliance and I started an organization in 1995 to create the first fully inclusive playgrounds in our state, which was used as a model to build others in the state and then went on to help communities around the country. I'd love to meet all of you! my blog is: http://iamstillstandingafterallthistime.blogspot.com/ and i tweet at: www.twitter.com/shelleyellen. I hope i get to all of your blogs and tweets today!
hugs,
shelley :)
