Website for family managing ADHD, seeks artwork and family ideas to inspire

  • Rating: No Rating
I am a mom of 5 kids, 4 of which have ADHD and other diagnoses, a blogger and creator of Power Moms Unite. Today we are opening our Fridge Door Gallery that celebrates families who defeat overwhelming obstacles to achieve. Living with ADHD ad other diagnoses, children and their parents’ self-esteem can take a beating- we struggle to do things the traditional way. Sometimes that puts our kids and us on the outside of what is “normal” among our friends and aquaintances in the neighborhood or school.

The Fridge Door Gallery provides a place for parents and kids to brag about their accomplishments- because we understand how hard kids and their families have worked to achieve their goals. By encouraging and supporting kids and their families to be their best with themselves and those around them, we hope to then inspire other kids and their families, facing similar obstacles. The Fridge Door seeks to energize families and kids with ideas for celebrating themselves!

Pictures of art pieces and accomplishments, as well as the stories behind them, may be added to the Fridge Door Gallery. To upload art and stories, send a digital image and/ or story no larger than 5M to: fridgedoor@powermomsunite.com . Include the child(ren)’s first name(s)and age(s) with submission.

1) Please do not send original art, as submissions cannot be returned.

2) By submitting entries to the Fridge Door Galleries, you are authorizing Power Moms Unite to publish the story and artwork.

3) All art submitted for display in the Fridge Door Gallery, will be reviewed by Power Moms Unite and its display is at the sole discretion of Power Moms Unite for taste and propriety.

4) All families managing special needs and its members are invited to submit. Family project achievements are welcome as well.

Thank you for your valued participation! Celebrate yourself and all your hard work!

You are so correct with this statement. Would it be okay with you if I put up a link from my blog about my son with Angelman Syndrome to your Fridge Door Galleries page? I wish you continued abundance in all you do, private & public. Blessings to you.

Hi Candace,
I'm new to ADD world but am a 7 year veteran of the Autism community.
I am getting married this month to a man with an ADD/ ODD son and another with Autism/ Behavior disorder. Their mom has abandoned them and I really need all the help I can get. Saw this and thought I'd reach out. Thanks~ Julie
