Wow Barbara. Do your kids go to public school? Are they in regular ed classes? Jaylen is still young so is in the Infants and Toddlers program, so I wonder what school will be like for him as he gets older.

And yes, schedule does help! This week Jaylen has no school and it has been rough. He doesn't have sensory issues though. We struggle with behavior a lot.

And today at my 9 months old check up the Dr. recommended we have him tested. He is showing some signs and she thinks it's best. Were you shocked to have 3 with Autism? Some people swear it doesn't run in families and isn't genetic, but I am not so sure about that...

Great talking with you. I love talking with other moms who "understand."

Hi Jean, sorry I couldn't get back with sooner, my kids started back to school Monday, things have been a little hectic. Fortunately all 3 of my kids love school. My little boy(will), is more higher functioning than my girls, so i try to get him to help out a little, like helping to picks up toys, that kind of thing. My girls have a lot of sensory issues, like sound and touch. Its got alot better with therapy, but at times it can still be a problem. I think one thing that i've learned is by keeping them on a schedule, it makes life a whole lot easier. Now I feel like I need to be on a scedule or i can't function(lol). I just take one day at time.

Hi Barbara, glad to have you here! Wow, 3 kids on the spectrum. I would love to hear more about your day to day life. I struggle with 1 on the spectrum!

And thanks for the recommendation Dawn. I hadn't even heard of that.

For those with children on the Autism Spectrum....go see Adam. The movie came out yesterday (starring the oh, so cute, Hugh Dancy) and is just a good, good, movie. I sat beside someone in the theater who just happened to have Asperger's Syndrome and he said it was pretty accurate.
