Hello everyone. I'm a mother of two children. A 14 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. Very different stages but both have temper tantrums in their own ways.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Lesa. I have four children. Three are in their teens - 19yo does not live at home, at home are my 16 yo and 15 yo. My 23 yo and his new wife just moved back in. She is 17 yo. I'm new to twittermoms - It looks like I can get some really good ideas to help me with being a mom, homeschool my daughter, growing my business, involved in the church, and my husband works out of town - oh did I forget trying to keep the house running. I can not wait to chat with all of you wonderful ladies. Thank you in advance

My son is 12yrs (in 7th grade). I feel like he is 16yrs. This probably has nothing to do with is age, but more to do with his gender. At our house he treats our furniture horribly. He jumps and wrestles on his bed and our couch. He has broken 1 futon, 1 daybed, and wood slats on one bed because of this. I am so mad! The beginning of summer he got a box spring and he has actually bent the metal on one side so now it slopes! He doesn't do this at anyone elses house that I know of. We live in an apt and don't have a lot of furniture. I have grounded him made him sit on the floor........he just starts doing it when I am not there. He has had wrestling (WWE) taken away from him for 6 months.......I think this may be tied to that. I am thinking of taking it away for good! He can pick it up when he is out of my house. I don't like it anyway, he mostly watches it at his dad. I don't know what to do!

Hi Kat, Yep. Tangerinetimes.com and thanks. I do agree - teens aren't as "cute" to talk about and put photos on blogs. Those cute little toddler faces you know... And, I wanted to have a site that had some humor in it not just stories about kids on drugs and having sex. They do other things too.

There are actually a lot of blogs out there who have teens, but we don't get the same publicity as the "mommy bloggers".
It seems that parenting teens isn't as important in the world as the baby/toddler bloggers are.
Advertisers want the mommy bloggers, and even though that's what we are, they only want the babies/toddlers.
They are missing out on a huge thing in regards to teens IMO.
Teens always need money, they want the high end costly items like mp3 players, video game systems, games, the super expensive shoes and clothes etc etc.
Mom bloggers of teens are pretty much ignored.

Am I correct in assuming TangerineTimes.com? Or is it .net, .org?
I'll bookmark you, rss it etc. I'm always wanting to have more moms with teens to read, we know what we all are going through. :)

Hi Kat, Hats off to the single moms of the world - especially with 2 teenage boys. My son just turned 13 and the cha cha changes are happening. My daughter is 15. I just started a blog about teens ('cuz it seemed no one was talking about them) called TangerineTimes. I'm still working on the content but love visitors and suggestions for topics. In fact, that's what I'm hoping to get from this group! Welcome.

I don't think I introduced myself here, hrm.

My name is Kat, I'm a single mom of 2 teenage boys ages 15 & 17.
Sebastian is 15, Mark is 17. I've been raising them on my own for the last 15 years now. It hasn't been an easy road, but I've been enjoying the ride.

Hi, all. I'm a mom of three -- a 20-year-old, an 11-year-old and a 10-year-old. All the gray hair comes from the oldest one!!! Just hoping the next two are a bit easier. HaHa!
