I don't know if anyone else remembers this, but I cut up my T's and sweatshirts to copy the Flashdance dancer, when I was in my late teens. My daughter doesn't do too much, but last year, she cut finger holes in a long sleeve shirt. I think she's past that now.

I went to bed last night thinking about his poor mother. I can't even imagine the grief. Stephanie told me that he was their only child, which just adds to it all. She recovered enough to go to Color Guard practice, but I'm thinking it hasn't completely sunk in yet. We're planning on attending the visitation and funeral.

I'm so very sorry and sad to hear that news, Joanna. God rest that young man's soul.....my thoughts and prayers are with his family~ as well as you and your family. Going through things like this is very much of a traumatic stress. Be strong, and reach out whenever you need someone~ we'll be here!

Oh no!! How traumatic! I'm sure the community will be grieving for some time. My thoughts are with you and your daughter & the boy's family.

My daughter's 17-year old friend was killed in an auto accident last night. He ran through a stop sign on his way home from a date. She came home crying and spent half the day in the guidance counselor's office. I am heartbroken for her and his parents. His mother had to identify his body. My god it is heartbreaking.
