I have friended, not only my daughter, but also two of her friends. Not only is she friends with me, but also my brother and his wife, and my fiance, who she is also on MySpace with, and the mothers and fathers of two of her friends. She doesn't show any resentment, and is perfectly open, so are her friends. We communicate quite freely and I don't plan on mentioning this horrible website designed by obviously spoiled rotten teenagers. Thanks for the heads-up, though.

Hi Karen - I'm sure glad there are people like you out there that love teens! No really, I am.

I'm mom to a 13 year old, but I've had teens for years. When I married my Hubs, he ran a therapeutic group home for high risk teen boys. For 10 years, I was the "mom" figure in the house to 4 teens at a time (probably about 40 kids total). Plus I work at a high school, so I get teens all day, every day.

Actually I'm really enjoying these years so far. Jake is a lot of fun!

As of August when my 12 yr. old turns 13, we will have SIX teenagers under one roof...18, 17, 17, 15, 13 and 13 (by birth and adoption). I avoid suicidal tendencies ONLY because I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel...we have a 21 yr. old as well.
