Hi! New here ... I'm a news writer. That's not a typo--that's new with an "S" ... I work in TV News. But I have a creative side ... and my dream is to do something with it!

Good to see this highly motivated group here. I am a techy kind of geeky Momzeee ... Main area of my work is software and I love it to bits .... I have been writing since I can remember. I was nearly best at my school writing exercises.. I had a friend who always had one mark more than me, and I think it was because she was more outgoing and social as I was!

I have mixed writing and web design as my hobbies. I am one of the first member of Bold Writers, a local writing group in Birmingham, UK. I have recently developed a web site for the group to publish their work inside group. We have the option to make it available for publishing our writing to be viewable by public as well, and some of us well use this feature, specially myself.

Please visit and read my stories at http://www.boldwriters.co.uk/anahita_public_page.php. Please feel free to use the contact us form on the site to give us feedback.

While free is always nice, Carbonite (and other back up services) also back up proprietary computer data that you wouldn't want posted in a public forum.

In any case, an external back up hard drive will also secure your data. Or, as I mentioned, a jump drive. Jump drives are so big now, you can save a lot of stuff on one, though they can fail, too.

Heard a story about a guy who his lap top and working disks in his trunk and it all got stolen. Learned from that to not have all my eggs (data) in only one place.

I've tried email back up programs and other stuff, but when I upgraded my computer, Carbonite is the first service where I got everything back. Last time I did an upgrade, I lost ten years of email contacts when my email back up program didn't work.

I'd also make some backup copies! I use carbonite and also carry a copy of WIPs on a jump drive. Computers have been known to eat more than homework! =8-0

Hello Writing Sisters!

Ahh the beauty of words...spoken...written...whispered are POWERFUL! We all have a story to tell...I know I do :)

I am going to do my best to hang-out here often and take in all the love.

Hey ladies...what a cool group. I am a writer. My dayjob, besides being a WAHM, is songwriter. I am blessed to be one of the few people working in the music industry today that actually makes a living writing lyrics only. So that's what pays the bills, but my first love is fiction. My first book "Autumn In Avening" is due out October 29th from the Overlook Press. I am so pleased to find a community online of writing moms, and I hope you'll put up with my posts as I experience this wacky new process. Check out my craft blog too!

Hello :)
I am a new writer - at least I am new to the kind of writing I am doing now. I have been writing research, financial and term papers for years, but just recently I have started wrting online and I am trying to write my first romance novel. I love that this group is here and hope to get to know everyone and make some new friends :)

I am a WAHM with three kiddos which are also home schooled! Life gets kind of crazy around here, but we work it all out!

I have been a reader my whole life and since I was a teenage I realized that I have a PASSION to write stories. Most of my stories are for children, but I have a few adult stories knockin' around in my head too!

I recently re-enrolled in a writing school to learn how to write stories for children. I have a lot on plate as it is, but I know that I can do this with the right mindset!

I was tickled to see a Twitter Mom group about writing! This should help me knowing that I have more encouragement and cheers from other hardworking moms. I look forward to getting to know everyone and hope I can encourage you too.

Thanks for letting me join you!
