twitter moms: the influential moms network

Okay, this will only sound like a weird discussion for those that don't have an embroidery business [or an embroidery machine for that matter]! The past several years I have tried to decorate Thanksgiving weekend like always. It just doesn't work at all ~ there just isn't time. The biggest part of my business is embroidery design, but all of my friends and neighbors know that I embroider, plus I help with overflow at the little boutique down the street, so I get flooded with embroidery work on top of my regular work. Anyway, my house ends up barely decorated and it really disappoints me ~ I LOVE all things CHRISTMAS! I've already started listening to Christmas music, so I may be ready to put away the CDs on 12/26 this year ;D

So, I was complaining last holiday season to a good friend of mine and she suggested that I decorate Halloween Night! Yes, I was taken aback too! She suggested I decorate in between handing out candy to the kiddos [and maybe sneaking a glass of wine or two]. As Halloween grows closer it sounds better and better. My hubby thinks I'm crazy! I'm already busy and it's just going to get crazy like always. I think I'm going to do it ~ what do you think?

I haven't started decorating but I have started listening to Christmas music. I'm thinking about decorating. I'd like to add some new decorations this Christmas. I have a cookie and candy theme going to my Christmas decoration. I found an older pattern that has different gingerbread type decorations I'd love to sew up.

I think it is a great idea! I start the day after Thanksgiving every year and my hubby thinks I am nuts for doing it that early. I say the earlier the better to spread the holiday cheer!! I am moving during the holidays so I will be good to get a tree up this year-LOL! Have fun Angie!!
