I don't have any embroidery projects going right now. I'm going to start drafting a new pattern and just finished straightening up my sewing....not cleaning...straightening, which means I cleaned the middle of the room so I can move around without getting tangled up in snips of thread.
right now I'm trying to get a portfolio of paintings together for an interview on wednesday to hopefully get some funding to go full pelt into my working from home business, also working on a greetings card line, shortening a pair of trousers cos i stepped in gum and making a dress...
Cute towel Angie, I love the pink and green color combination!
I'm part of a monthly sewing group at the shop where I purchased my machine. I love it because they make a different quick project every month and it's geared specifically for the functions of my machine. I always learn a new technique or how to use my machine in a different way and I usually end up making something I can give as a gift. That was a long set up for... my most recent project was a luggage tag, a little makeup bag I embroidered an initial on, and a little charm that I strung through a ball chain and attached to the zipper of the makeup bag. I gave it to my sister in law, and didn't take any pictures... I should be ashamed... those little projects are perfect blog material and I have yet to take pictures of any of them :(
Good luck with your interview Gemma, that's exciting!
I'm starting a winter dog coat for my little pup. I'm not the best at sewing but want to become great so I'm taking on little projects to practice and gain some confidence. I can hand sew like a fiend, so I'll embroider Carmelita's name on the coat when I'm done. My machine is basic and doesn't have all the lovelies you other ladies have. Wish me luck!
I am just trying to keep up on orders. I have a few new products that needed to be added to the website and I have some fabric to make a couple of dresses for myself (which probably won't happen). My 17 year old son's girlfriend wants me to make a dress she drew - so need to work with her on that.
Your sewing room sounds like mine! I've been trying to spend 15-20 minutes a day organizing different areas - I'm s tired of it being a mess! It feels so good to see the progress as I organize. :)
