What a great group. Glad to have found you. I love, love movies..Love them.LOL. So much so that we built a 12 seat theater in our home with stadium style seating like a real theater. We probably watch 4 to 6 movies a week...It's good to see others like the movies too. Nice to meet you all.

Desiree - I felt the same away about Superbad... I finally watched it a couple weeks ago (because my hubby wanted to see it). Definitely a guy's movie. I was going into it like I would hate it, but it wasn't as bad as I thought (in some ways)... I have to be in the mood for that kind of humor though. ;)

I saw Vantage Point last night. It got horrible reviews but I really liked it.

Cool... I was thinking about starting a group to talk about movies and decided to look first... and found you... so here I am! Just went to see HSM3 with my Tweener and her friend. I will say that Kenny Ortega did out do himself this time. I thought the dance scenes were amazing. The girls said there were too many of them. I had to explain the fun of a MUSICAL ;) I personally thought this was the best of the 3... but what do I know, I am just the Mom ;) Glad to be here... Leslie

My SO and I watched Meet the Browns the other night, had high hopes for it because I love Angela Bassett but I was disappointed. Very predictable and a waste of Ms. Bassett's incredible talent!

I totally felt that way about Superbad. I think that if I was a teenage boy I would have liked it more. My husband liked it well enough but even he wasn't thrilled with it overall.

I love 40 Year Old Virgin and laughed hysterically. I'm a big fan of stupid humor with no real point (think Clerks and Harold and Kumar) but this just lacked any real effort in my oppinion.

I just finally watched Super Bad -sort of because my husband made me. I know some people have thought it was hilarious but I only half liked it. It was funny in some parts but not at all in others. Pretty much a guys movie, in my opinion.
I loved 40 Year Old Virgin (and laughed so hard that we saw it again the next weekend) so I figured I'd like this one too. But, meh.
Am I the only one that felt this way about the movie?

What a great group! We don't get out to the theater all that much anymore, but do Netflix and buy lots of DVD's for our home theater system...

Finally watched the last Indiana Jones movie, Kingdom of the crustal skull, and it sucked.
It was way too cheesy in some parts, over-acted, over done.
Blah.
I am such a fan of the other films, I had high hopes for this one, but nah, it just sucked.

I'm excited to find this group, so nice to meet you! With the rising price of everything..groan..one of the ways we've tweaked our budget is by cutting down entertainment expenses. So, we too rely on Netflix & HBO for movies. I love Netflix, have been a member since the beginning!

I've had an on again off again relationship with Neflix. Right now it's off. Mostly because I want new releases when they come out every week and I've never been able to get them consistently. They usually are marked "long wait" the day 1st day out on DVD and I end up getting it maybe a week later. By then I could have walked into Blockbuster, rented it, watched it, returned it. Granted I've watched a lot of movies, so the movie archive doesn't hold much interest for me. Now I've gravitated to Itunes Rentals when I travel so i don't have to carry Dvd's.
