Hi all! I'm new to this group, this site, and twitter. I am part of other Obama groups on the net, though. I was a campaign volunteer through his whole campaign, and I am still just so excited that we did it!!!!! I am 28 years old, married mom of one 8 year old daughter. Can't wait to meet you all and join in some discussions!! :)

I am so proud of our country for seeing a man and not a black man. I am looking forward to the years to come. I hope everyone supports him, even when makes mistakes because he is not perfect. But I trust that he is going to do the best he can and make the best decisions possilbe for the country (not for hisself or powerful people.) I just love Michelle! She si my girl!

Military does pay crap, and they have some of the most important jobs in our country. Politically and historically, Republicans have supported the military more than the Democrats. I feel in the last 8 years that is not the case. The things our military and its families have gone through.

So I joined this group to support Obama..I was unable to vote b/c I didn't get my absentee ballot till way late, but would have voted for Obama. My husband on the other hand..hard republican and man does he show it and say it..it's driving me nuts. Don't know how to kindly tell my hubby to 'shut the heck up'..lol He's military and if you are military you know we get paid crap and my buddy tells me that republicans don't care about us middle and low classes...so why would my husband still root for that side? I think it's time for a change. I dont' know much about politics but my view is that if our country has gone from ugh to total crap in 8 years from one party that we should change to another party and see what happens..can't get any worse than where we are at now.

We were just in Yosemite National Park. I lost count of how many Obama bumper stickers I saw. I can tell you I saw 1 McCain sticker.
