Welcome to OMM - Online Marketing Moms

I love that our initials OMM are an anagram for MOM -- Totally serendipitous, I assure you.

When I applied to start this group, I had no idea it would take off -- especially without my knowledge. LOL I just discovered today that not only had the group been approved, but that we already have 45 members in just a matter of days.

First off, feel free to introduce yourself. Be as loquacious or as brief as you care to be. Here is a place where you can be uniquely YOU.

I encourage you to invite other potential OMMs to enhance our discussions and to help us all help each other. I believe we're not on this earth just for ourselves, but to be of use to the people with whom we come in contact.

Start a new discussion, throw in your 2 cents to an ongoing topic, recruit new members - these are ways we can all participate and make this a DOING group, not just a BEING group. We already have a great beginning!

Looking forward to getting to know you and interacting with my current friends and the friends I haven't met yet.

In response to Melissa's question about using twitter for online marketing strategy and building your following.

Twitter has been so much fun for me. It's like a get-a-way to meeting new people and gaining so much information for free! I'm a networker at heart so joining twitter was easy for me because I LOVE to meet people. A couple of the things that have worked for me is to follow people who have similar interests like mine, people who are business savvy and provide great tips and feedback.

There are guides that REALLY help you understand what twitter is and how best to use it, this one is free: http://www.twitterhandbook.com/ and one that I really liked is Felicia Slattery's Twitter Basics http://tinyurl.com/twitbasics (it is audio with super great tips and resources).

If you have a blog, you can always let others know when you've posted a new message or article or announcement. People use twitter to also announce sales but you want to make sure that's not the only reason you use twitter. Join in on conversations and post about your day, your children or even what you're cooking for dinner :)

Hope this helped some.

Hi everyone! I have recently updated my MomGiftStore.com.

I highlighted the Mom Gift Quiz for moms to give to their loved ones for Christmas to help avoid unwanted gifts.

Please let me know what you think.

Hi,

So glad I found this group since I too am looking for ways to market my blog The Moxie Report and my website www.tracyevansmedia.com.

On that note, what do you think of blog newsletters? Blog press releases? Are they worth the time and effort to promote a new blog?

I am new to this group and new to internet marketing too. This is my first attempt at creating an online sales page for an eBook I wrote: Earn Residual Income with eHow. It's selling well, so I must have done something right. Still learning!

Hi gorgeous ladies

I have been online marketing to build traffic to one of my sites which has worked wonders. I have recently created two new sites I am going to vamp up and get them ranking in google for organic traffic very soon so I'm looking forward to sharing what has worked for me and learning what is working for you.

Have an awesome day!
